Joseph John Judkins, 73, of Lacona died of pneumonia Wednesday, Feb. 12, 1992, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Services were held Feb. 14 at Overton Funeral Home, with burial at Liberty Center Cemetery.

Mr. Judkins, a farmer, was a lifelong resident of the Lacona and Liberty Center area and was a member of the Liberty Center Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Atha; three sons, Marvin of Centerville, Gerald of Liberty Center and Dennis of Lacona; a brother, Bert of Orland, Calif.; three sisters, Lina Hunter of Des Moines, Gladys Hasting of Lacona and Winnie Hasting of Liberty Center; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or Lacona Fire and Rescue.
