Loren Wayne Hurst, 82, of Indianola died of a heart ailment Wednesday, June 10, 1998, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Services were held June 13 at Peterson Funeral Home, with burial at IOOF Cemetery.

Mr. Hurst was born in Warren County and had lived in Milo 45 years before moving to Indianola four years ago. He was a retired farmer, an Army veteran of World War II, a former prisoner of war and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and Warren County Historical Society.

His wife, Loraine, survives.

Memorial contributions may be made to Warren County Historical Society.
