Mona Jane Van Dorn died Thursday, April 28, 2004, at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. Services were held April 30, at Mosher Funeral Home in Milo. Interment was in the Belmont Cemetery.

Mona Jane (Hunter) Van Dorn was born September 17, 1935 in Iowa City, the daughter of Raymond and Edra (Bales) Hunter. She married Marshall Neil Van Dorn on July 19, 1956, in Des Moines. Mrs. Van Dorn was a homemaker and enjoyed her grandchildren, dancing and music. She lived the past seven years in Polk City, prior to that she lived three years in Ankeny and the majority of her life in Milo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Neil; and two brothers, Jim and Donald.

Survivors include her son, David of Polk City; three brothers, Pat Hunter of Indianola, Jerry Hunter and David Hunter all of Milo; three sisters, Donna Greer of Omaha, Neb., Joyce Hunter and Linda Rodish both of Des Moines; and four grandchildren.
