Obituary from an unknown newspaper, date unknown, photographed from an Obituary Book at the City Library in Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA:

Fred Rex Hunter, 68, of Bagley died of cancer Monday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Panora, and burial will be at Dodge Township Cemetery in Guthrie County.

Mr. Hunter was born in Liberty Center and moved to Bagley in 1958 from Des Moines. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Des Moines and had owned Hunter's Grocery in Bagley 31 years. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a member of the Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his wife, Rosie; four daughters, Marilyn Thiesse of Marion, Susan Bose of Bagley, Debra Hemphill of Yale and Pamela Whelan of Minneapolis; a son, Jack of Yale; two sisters, Barb Woodyard of Carlisle and Betty Seuferer of Chariton; a brother, Frank of Des Moines; eight grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 8 a.m. today at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson, where the family will visit with friends after a 7 p.m. prayer service.
