Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA, date unknown:

Frank James Hunter, Sr., 71, of 719 Grandview Ave. died of a heart ailment Friday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at IIes Grandview Park Funeral Home. Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Hunter was born in Warren County and had lived most of his life in Des Moines, where he retired from Ruan Transportation. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Teamsters.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen; seven sons, Frank Hunter Jr. of Albia, John Hunter of Des Moines, Mike Forkner of Marshalltown and Harvey Forkner, Richard Forkner, David Forkner and Jody VanZuuk, all of Des Moines; five daughters, Sheryl Henry and Peggy White, both of Des Moines, Sheila Allbee of Martensdale, Theresa Sojourn of Bellevue, Neb., and DeAnn Frederick of Davenport; two sisters, Barbara Woodyard of Carlisle and Betty Seuferer of Lacona; 21 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 9a.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 5 to 7 p.m.
