Betty Ruth Seuferer, 69, of Lacona died of a heart ailment Tuesday, May 11, 1999, at Westview Care Center in Indianola, where she had lived three months. Services were held May 14 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lacona, of which she was a member, with burial at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Seuferer was born in Warren County and had lived in Lacona all her life. She was a retired factory worker with western Tool in Des Moines.

Among survivors are her husband, Floyd; four daughter, Sandy Roland and Karen Vinsick, both of Knoxville, Nancy Varela of Clovis, Calif., and Barbara Garrison of Wasilla, Alaska; a sister, Barbara Woodyard of Carlisle; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mosher Funeral Home in Chariton handled arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
