Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 1-18-2007:

Robert James Hunt, 78, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2007 at the Carlisle Care Center. Services for Robert will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Milo. Interment will be in the Belmont Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Milo.

Bob was a volunteer fireman and served with the Milo Fire Department for 20 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, was a great cook and was an avid country and western music fan.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley; three daughters, Carol (Joel) Laird, Marquetta (Mark) Mc Gee and Ramona (Ralph) Hunt all of Des Moines; son, James (Robert) Hunt of Wilton Manors, FL; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Norma); and three sisters, Maxine (Bob) Taggart of Knoxville, Lorraine (John) May of Sandersville, GA and Viola (Dennis) Mason of Stockton, MO. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, James and Myrtle Hunt.
