Obituary from The Record-Herald and Indianola Tribune newspaper, Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA on 3-26-1984:

Uree Bell Shoemaker, daughter of Walter and Nora Hukill, was born in Marion County May 16, 1894, and died at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Indianola Feb. 26. She was 89.

She lived most of her life in the Motor and Milo communities. On Aug. 7, 1912, she was united in marriage to Guy Shoemaker. They shared 70 years of life together.

Mrs. Shoemaker was preceded in death by her husband, Guy; her parents; a brother, Earl; and a sister, Ada.

She is survived by her son Raymond and wife Lorraine; and grandchildren Betty Coffman and husband Eldon of Milo and Robert Shoemaker and wife Diane of West Des Moines.

Also surviving are great-grandchildren Elizabeth Davis and husband Terry; Will, Marie, Andy, and Janel Coffman; and Brian and David Shoemaker. She also has two great-great-granddaughters, Kristie and Sarah Davis.

Mrs. Shoemaker was a member of the Milo United Methodist Church and the Methodist Women's Society. She also was a charter member of the Busy Bee Club.

The Rev. Matt Leach conducted funeral services Wednesday, Feb. 29, at the Mosher Funeral Home. Interment was at Belmont Cemetery.
