Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 12-16-1991:

Erma Maxine Ball, 80, of Pleasantville died of a heart ailment there Saturday. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Evans-McCleery Funeral Home in Knoxville, with burial at Lincoln Cemetery in Marion County.

Mrs. Ball was born near Pleasantville and lived in Marion County all her life. She had been a homemaker, a schoolteacher and a member of Fairview Christian Disciples of Christ Church.

Survivors include her husband, Doran of Lacona; a daughter, Virginia Canaday of Lahoma, Okla.; two sisters, Echo Jordan of Pleasantville and Oma Ellsworth of Knoxville; and three grandchildren.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
