Marshall Pearl Houlette, 77, of New Virginia died of cancer Thursday at Clarke County Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, with burial at New Virginia Cemetery.

Mr. Houlette was born near New Virginia and had lived in the area most of his life. He had worked for Natural Gas Pipeline Co. of America and been a board member of Virginia Manor Senior Housing Corp. and a member of New Virginia Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Leota; three daughters, Ruth Spence of Medora, Betty Kaldenberg of Indianola and Marilyn Jones of New Virginia; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 p.m.
