Hazel Marie McGuire, 79, of Indianola died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 1999, at Kavanagh House on Grand in West Des Moines. The body was cremated and memorial services were held Jan. 7 at Overton Funeral Home, with burial of the cremains at Indianola IOOF Cemetery.

Mrs. McGuire was born in Pittsburgh, Kan., and had lived in the Indianola area most of her life. She was a self-employed upholsterer and upholstery teacher.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, in 1968.

Survivors include three daughters, Beverly Johnson of Earlham, Sharry McGuire of Newton and Susanne McAninch of Norwalk; a brother, Gerald Houghton of Kansas City, Kan.; two sisters, Velma Wilkinson of Salem, Ore., and Beatrice Hudson of Mulberry, Kan.; and four grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.

Hazel Marie McGuire, 79, of Indianola died of a respiratory ailment Wednesday at Kavanagh House on Grand in West Des Moines. The body was cremated and memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial of the cremains will be at IOOF Cemetery there.
