Obituary from The Record-Herald and Indianola Tribune newspaper, Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA on 7-15-1987:

Funeral services for Donald Phillip "Bud" Hoch Sr., 61, of Indianola will be held today, Wednesday, July 15, at 10 a.m. at the Overton Funeral Home. Interment will be in the IOOF Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Hoch died Monday, July 13, 1987, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.

Born in Marion County, he grew up in the Melcher area. He had also lived near Milo and in Indianola. He had worked as a farmhand for several years and had been employed by White Construction and the Breiholz Construction Company in Des Moines. He retired from Breiholz Construction Company in 1983. Following retirement, he was the owner and operator of Don's Place in Indianola.

Surviving are his wife, Betty of Indianola; one son, Donald Jr. of Indianola; two daughters, Connie Rodgers of Milo and Kimberly Kastler of Osceola; his mother, Leona Wadley of Indianola; and six grandchildren.
