Grace Doris Weeks, 85, of New Virginia died of a heart ailment Thursday, June 11, 1998, at home. Services were held June 15 at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, with burial at New Virginia Cemetery.

Mrs. Weeks, a homemaker, was born in new Virginia and was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a member of Medford Ladies Aid and Disciples of Christ Christian Church in New Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, in 1985.

Survivors include four sons, Wayne and Richard, both of New Virginia, and Jim and Bill, both of Indianola; three daughters, Shirley Mann of St. Charles, Sheryll Morris of New Virginia and Sharon Ferguson of Altoona; two brothers, Max Hill of Martensdale and John Hill of Denver; 20 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to New Virginia Fire and Rescue.
