Obituary from The Record-Herald and Indianola Tribune newspaper, Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA, date unknown:

Vance Henry Friday, 69, of Lacona died of a heart attack Monday, June 24, 2002, en route to a medical center. Services were held June 28 at Dallas Christian Church in Melcher-Dallas, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Dallas Cemetery there.
Mr. Friday was born in Marion County and had lived in Lacona most of his life. He was a farmer and had worked for Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. in Des Moines before retiring. He was a member of Steelworkers Organization of Active Retirees and enjoyed trap shooting.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; three daughters, Barbara Abdulrahim and Carol Barker, both of Des Moines, and Nancy Friday of Knoxville; a son, Jim of Lacona; a brother, Marion of Pleasantville; and eight grandchildren.
Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas handled arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
