Obituary from an unknown newspaper, date unknown, photographed from an Obituary Book at the City Library in Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA:

John Frank, son of George and Mary Frank, was born in Juniata county, Pennsylvania, March 17, 1836. He died February 7, 1922, after a prolonged illness at the home of his son Everett L., near Liberty Center, aged eighty-five years, ten months, and twenty-one days.

He moved to Peoria county, Illinois, with his parents in 1850, and was there united in marriage with Mary L. Proctor on March 11, 1863. To this union was born five children: Frances Olive, who died in infancy; Albert A. of Indianola; Mrs. Richard T. Savin of Lexington, Nebraska; Mrs. W.B. Parker of Westhope, North Dakota; and Everett L. of Liberty Center. In 1878 the family came to Iowa and resided on a farm near Milo, where the parents spent the remainder of their active lives, and celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.

Besides the wife and children who are left to mourn his loss there are three brothers: Andrew M. of Indianola; Jesse of St. Cloud, Florida; Martin of Canton, Illinois and a sister, Mrs. Mary Morninger of Marion, Kansas. There are also four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

"Uncle John" as he was familiarly known, was converted and joined the Methodist Episcopal church at Green Plain. He was a man of kind and modest disposition, believing in, and living the golden rule from day to day. His presence will be greatly missed in the home circle and in the community.

Funeral services were held at the home Friday, February 10th, conducted by Rev. Chas. W. Proctor. Interment was at Liberty Center cemetery.
