Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 1-30-2002:

Walter Doyle Feight, 90, of Knoxville died of complications of a stroke Monday at Griffin Nursing Center there. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Fielding Funeral Home in Chariton, with burial at Chariton Cemetery.

Mr. Feight was born in Newbern and had lived in Chariton from 1945 until moving to Knoxville a year ago. He had worked for Johnson's Machine Works and was a member of Church of the Nazarene in Chariton. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Aletha; two daughters, Barbara Rodgers of Kirksville, Mo., and Cheryl Harvey; three sisters, Jessie Abrahamson of Williamson, Othella Knust of Castle Rock, Colo., and Lois Springer of Ankeny; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
