Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 2-22-2011:

Roy E. Fell, D.O., 87, passed away February 20, 2011 in Mount Ayr, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22 at the United Baptist Presbyterian Church in Mount Ayr, Iowa. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the church. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Dr. Fell moved to Mount Ayr in 1955 and practiced medicine until retiring in 1986. He was a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American Medical Association.

Survivors include his six children Fay (Terry) Howie of Mount Ayr, Paul (Stephany) Fell of Pleasant Hill, IA, John (Sohila) Fell of West Des Moines, IA, Eric (Judy) Fell of Mount Ayr, Mary (Mike) Robertson of Omaha, NE, and Jim (Rachael) Fell of Lee's Summit, MO; 16 grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Glen and Gladys (Mickel) Fell; wife Frances on July 9, 2010; son-in-law Terry Howie; brother Max Fell.
