Esther Burns, 77, of Lacona died of an apparent heart attack Wednesday, April 24, 1996, at her home. Services were held April 28 at Mosher Funeral Home in Lacona, with burial at Liberty Center Cemetery.

Mrs. Burns, a longtime Lacona resident, was born in Leon. She and her husband operated a meat locker in Lacona.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 1988.

Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Dollison of Lacona; a son, Charles Burns of Espanola, N.M.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
