Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 10-10-2001:

Frances A. Dittmer, 104, of Waukee died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Spurgeon Manor in Dallas Center. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Waukee, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Waukee Cemetery.

Mrs. Dittmer was born in Milo and had lived in the Waukee area most of her life. She was a homemaker and enjoyed baking, sewing and gardening. She was well known for her cinnamon rolls.

She is survived by two sons, Marcus of Marshalltown and Laurence of Adel; three daughters, Rita Ceaser of Laurel, Ann Forret of Milwaukee and Colleen Jensen of Cedar Rapids; 27 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rolly.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at Fisher-Aldrich Funeral Home in Waukee, where a Scripture prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
