Nancy J. Kennedy, age 88, passed away Monday morning at The Village in Indianola.
Nancy was born in Medora, Iowa on November 11, 1920 to Virgil and Zola Edwards and graduated from Indianola High School. She was a long time secretary for Weinman Insurance Company in Indianola.
Preceding her in death were her husband (of 67 years) Russell Kennedy in 2006 and a grandson Michael Kennedy in 1968.
Surviving Nancy is her son, Norman (Andra) Kennedy; four grandchildren, Ariana Kennedy, Aaron (Jannelle) Kennedy, Craig Kennedy and Elise (Casey) Adams; five great-grandchildren, Matthew Kennedy, Chase, Dillon, Kady and Drew Bottorff and one sister Isabel Forman.
Family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Peterson Funeral Home in Indianola.
Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday June 17, 2009 at Peterson Funeral Home in Indianola.
Interment will be in I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to The Village.
