Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 4-25-1991:

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Federated Church for Warren George Edgington of 6916 Sunset Terrace, Windsor Heights. Burial will be in Indianola IOOF Cemetery. Mr. Edgington, 70, died of cancer Tuesday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.

Born in Warren County, he lived in the Des Moines area most of his life and retired as an assemblyman for Deere and Co. in Ankeny. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a member of the United Auto Workers union and John Deere Retirees.

Survivors include his wife, Jane; a daughter, Patricia Greene of Urbandale; two stepdaughters, Betty Ann Rabe of Apple Valley, Minn., and Mary Laughlin of Urbandale; three stepsons, Terry Canady of Glendale, Calif., and Mike Canady and Bob Canady, both of Des Moines; four sisters, Marianna Holton of Carlisle and Helen Reese, Betty Eckert and Wilma Hagen, all of Indianola; four brothers, Virgil of Indianola, Chester of Milo, William of Woodland, Wash., and Charles of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three grandchildren; 17 step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a step-great-grandchild.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Westover Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
