Obituary from The Record-Herald and Indianola Tribune, Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA, date unknown:

James Leland Edgington, 83, of Indianola, died of an aneurysm Sunday, Oct. 30, 1988, at the Mercy Hospital Medical Center Emergency Room. Services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 2, at 11 a.m. at Overton Funeral Home. The body will be cremated following the services.

Mr. Edgington was born at Lacona and had lived most of his life in the Lacona and Liberty Center communities. A farmer, he also had worked as a self-employed trucker and had operated a gas station in Liberty Center until his retirement in 1973. He had been a resident of Indianola since 1979.

Surviving are his wife, A. Marvel Edgington of Indianola; three sons, Norman of Castle Rock, Colo., and Blaine and Mahlon, both of Indianola; two daughters, Irene Findley of Dexter, and Carol Enders of Ankeny; five brothers, Charles of Colorado Springs, Colo., Virgil and Warren, both of Indianola, William of Woodland, Wash., and Chester of Milo; four sisters, Helen Reese, Wilma Hagen and Betty Eckert, all of Indianola, and Marianne Holton of Hartford; 19 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his three sons, Doyle, James and Dennis.
