Obituary from The Record-Herald and Indianola Tribune newspaper, Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA on 6-4-1981:

Esther Juanita Lepley, a resident of the Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Newton, died May 12, 1981, at the age of 73 Years. The daughter of Charles and Abby Edgington, she was born Dec. 27, 1907 near Lacona.

She married C.M. (Pete) Lepley, May 11, 1930 at Indianola and six children were born. They lived on a farm south of Allerton 25 years and she had lived in Newton since the death of her husband in 1972.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter, Madonna Mae, two sisters, one brother and one grandson.

Esther is survived by her children: two sons, Richard of Newton and Robert of Rye, Colo.; three daughters, Marilyn McClain, Lauderdale Lakes, Fla.; Kathryn Prinzing, Batania, Ohio and Judy Sparks, Newton and 14 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, four sisters and six brothers.

Funeral services for Mrs Lepley were held May 15 at the Randolph Funeral Home, Allerton, with Rev. B.L. Pa--- officiating.
