Phyllis Maxine Elgin, 62, of Indianola died of cancer Monday, Nov. 22, 1993, at home. Visitation will be from 3 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 23, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 24, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial at Indianola IOOF Cemetery.
Mrs. Elgin was born in Warren County and a lifelong resident of Warren County. She is a retired farm homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Bob; two daughters, Chris Hamilton of Bedford, N.H., and Cathy Ayers of Indianola; a son, Bob Elgin Jr. of Indianola; her mother, Wilma Bowlin of Indianola; two brothers, Robert Bowlin of New Virginia and Larry Bowlin of Indianola; her sister, Eleanor DeWitt of Indianola; and five grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Warren County Extension 4-H Trust Fund.
