Obituary from The Record-Herald and Indianola Tribune newspaper, Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA, date unknown:

Robert G. Bowlin, 71, of Indianola died of cancer Monday, July 10, 2000, at Kavanagh House on 56th Street in Des Moines. Services were held July 13 at Overton Funeral Home, with burial at Indianola IOOF Cemetery.
Mr. Bowlin was born in Warren County and had lived in the New Virginia area most of his life before moving to Indianola in March. He was a farmer and had worked for Laverty Elevator, now Heartland Co-op, as elevator superintendent and fertilizer superintendent for 30 years before retiring in 1991.
Survivors include his wife, Lois; four sons, Tom, David and Gary, all of Indianola, and Jim of New Virginia; and a daughter, Joyce Miller of Russell; a brother, Larry of Indianola; and a sister, Eleanor DeWitt of Indianola; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kavanagh House on 56th Street or the Warren County Fair.

Robert G. Bowlin, 71, of Indianola died of cancer Monday at Hospice Kavanagh House in Des Moines. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, with burial at IOOF Cemetery there.
Mr. Bowlin was born in Warren County and had lived in the New Virginia area most of his life before moving to Indianola this year. He was a farmer and an elevator superintendent and fertilizer shop superintendent with Laverty Elevator in Indianola before retiring.
He is survived by his wife, Lois; four sons, Tom, David and Gary, all of Indianola, and Jim of New Virginia; a daughter, Joyce Miller of Russell; a brother, Larry, and a sister, Eleanor DeWitt, both of Indianola; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Kavanagh Hose in Des Moines or Warren County Fair.
