Obituary from The Record-Herald and Indianola Tribune newspaper, Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA on 7-14-2007:

Virginia Rose Foust, 82, of Indianola, died Thursday, July 12, 2007, at the Hospice Comfort House in Pella, Iowa.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, July 15, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Overton Funeral Home, Indianola, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be held on Monday, July 16, at 10:30 a.m. at , Indianola, where she was a member. Interment will be at North River Cemetery.

Virginia was born in rural Indianola on October 26, 1924, to George M. and Iolas Boothe. In 1942, she married Dale Foust and together they farmed for 40 years northwest of Indianola until his death in 1987. In 1988, she moved to Indianola and in 1990, she retired after 20 years as secretary at Marquardt Advertising in Des Moines.

She is survived by her children: Larry (Nancy) Foust, Melrose; Judy (Dick) Stewart, Indianola; Bill (Bev) Foust, Norwalk; and Dalene Davies- Smoot (Bob Smoot), Ankeny; six grandchildren, six great- grandchildren, and twin great- great-granddaughters; sisters: Ernestine Smith, Indianola; Nancy Lehmkuhl, Ankeny; and brothers: Arliss (Ruby) Boothe, Indianola; George D. (Shirley) Boothe, Winterset; brother-in-law, Richard Ripperger, Indianola; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dale, son Lyle, grandson Rick Stewart, sister Sara Ripperger, her parents, several nieces and nephews, and brothers in law and sisters in law.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Central Iowa (Knoxville office), the staff of Comfort House, Pella, and Rev. Linda Stueve, for their comfort and loving compassion shown to Mom and to us during this most difficult time.
