Sara E. Ripperger, 71, of Indianola died of cancer Saturday, April 29, 2000 at home. Visitation with family will be Tuesday, May 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 6 p.m. at Peterson Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Indianola, of which she was a member, with burial at the cemetery at St. Marys.
Mrs. Ripperger was born near Indianola and had lived here all her life. She retired after 21 years with Peoples Trust and Savings Bank.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; three daughters, Sandra J. Black of Atlantic, Michele Septer of Lacona and Jaci Taylor of Milo; three sisters, Ernestine Smith and Virginia Foust, both of Indianola, and Nancy Lehmkuhl of Ankeny; two brothers, Arliss Boothe of Indianola and George David Boothe of Winterset; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Warren County Christian School or her church.

Sara E. Ripperger, 71, of Indianola died of cancer Saturday at home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Indianola, of which she was a member. Burial will be at St. Marys Cemetery in St. Marys.
Mrs. Ripperger had lived in the Indianola area all of her life. She was an accountant and teller with the former People's Trust and Savings Bank in Indianola.
She is survived by her husband, Richard; three daughters, Sandra Black of Atlantic, Michele Septer of Lacona and Jaci Taylor of Milo; three sisters, Ernestine Smith and Virginia Foust, both of Indianola, and Nancy Lehmkuhl of Ankeny; two brothers, Arliss Boothe of Indianola and George Boothe of Winterset; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today at Peterson Funeral Home in Indianola, where the family will receive friends following the rosary until 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Warren County Christian School or her church.
