Olive Canter, 86, of Milo died of leukemia Saturday at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Milo Christian Union Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Belmont Cemetery.

Mrs. Canter was born in Milo and had lived in Waynetown, Ind., Newark, Ohio, and Wauseon, Ohio, prior to moving to Milo in 1959. She was a teacher in Warren County before retiring and a member of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen W.; a son, Stephen O. of Jacksonville, Fla.; and three grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at Mosher Funeral Home in Milo. Memorial contributions may be made to her church or the Woman's Christian Temperance Union.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 13 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Mosher Funeral Home in Milo. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at Milo Christian Union Church, of which she was a member, with burial at Belmont Cemetery.

Mrs. Canter was born in Milo.

She was a missionary minister in Indiana and Ohio before returning to Milo in 1959. She had taught school in Warren County schools and had served as president for six years of WCTU.

Survivors include her husband, Stephen W.; a son, Stephen O. of Jacksonville, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
