Kenneth W. Blackford, 69, of Spring Hill died of cancer Friday, May 16, 1997, at home. The body was cremated following visitation and no services are planned.

Mr. Blackford was born in Warren County and lived in the Spring Hill area most of his life. He was a retired manager with Commercial Builders.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley.

Survivors include his wife, Kay; two sons, Kenny Lee and Randy, both of Des Moines; four daughters, Vicky Breese and Saundra Freeman, both of Des Moines, Linda Storm of Chillicothe, MO., and Marilyn Nichols of Oklahoma City; three stepsons, Mike Harris of Prairie City, Rodney Harris of Pittsfield, Maine, and David Harris of New Sharon, Maine; three stepdaughters, Patty Shaw and Alesia Harris, both of Des Moines, and Cathy Neuman of Oakland, Maine; 19 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Southtown Funeral Home handled arrangements.
