Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 11-17-2007:

Connie Nizzi, 57, of Des Moines died on November 16, 2007. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home with cremation following the service. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday evening.

Connie was a senior systems analyst at Wellmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield for 29 years and for the last seven years had been employed at Delta Dental of Iowa. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially taking care of her two grandchildren Tony and Bella. Connie loved working and cherished the relationships that she established at Wellmark and Delta Dental.

She is survived by her daughter Teri Nizzi, her son Eolo Nizzi III (Jenn Felsen), her mother Florence Thomas, her grandchildren Tony and Bella, her ex-husband Eolo (Betty Jo) Nizzi II, her sister Eva Newton and her children Michael and Jason, her sister, Pam, her brothers Danny and Art Avery as well as her best friend Carey Evans. She was preceded in death by her father Floyd Avery.
