Obituary from The Record-Herald and Indianola Tribune newspaper, Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA on 5-18-1988:

Esther Hoch, 57, of Lacona died of cancer Wednesday, May 11, 1988, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Services were held Saturday, May 14, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Hoch was born in Pleasantville. She was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic Church.

Surviving are her husband, Walter; a son, Curtis of Lacona; two brothers, Arthur Anthony and Merrill Anthony, both of Pleasantville; and five sisters, Dorothy Surber of Windsor, Calif., Mildred Hoffman of Alexandria, La., Marjorie Dop of Pleasantville, Norma Snodgrass of Des Moines and Irma Hudson of Baxter, Minn.

Mosher Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
