Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 9-23-2008:

A Funeral Mass for Anna Lorette Greubel, 85, who died Sunday, September 21, 2008, will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 24 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Indianola. Burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery rural Milo, IA.

Mrs. Greubel was born in Marion County, IA and had lived in the Rosemount farming community and Milo for 40 years before moving to Indianola in 2001. She worked as a secretary at the Federal Building in Des Moines for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

She enjoyed sewing, quilting and playing piano and was a member of O.D.O. "Our Day Out".

Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Greubel; her parents, Bill and Lucy Wren; two brothers, Leo and James Wren; and a sister, Mary Heinen. She is survived by her children, Jerry (Joy) and John (Ann) Greubel of Indianola, Norma Kay (John) Croat of Naples, Fl, Rosemary (Gary) Grubb of Clive, IA, and James (Sydney) Greubel of Des Moines; brothers, Richard Wren of Granger and Robert Wren of Des Moines; sisters, Lucille Wren and Martha Clare of Des Moines; 19 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

A Rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. Tuesday, September 23 with the visitation held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Scripture services will then be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Thomas Aquinas Building Fund.
