Lucille Weeks, 80, of New Virginia died of a heart ailment Friday, Feb. 2, 1996, at Indianola Good Samaritan Center. Services were held Feb. 5 at United Methodist Church in New Virginia, of which she was a member, with burial at New Virginia Cemetery.

Mrs. Weeks, a homemaker and schoolteacher, was born in Cool and was a lifelong resident of the New Virginia area. She was a member of the Women's Relief Corp at New Virginia.

Survivors include her husband, Murl; four daughters, Phyllis Redman of Osceola, Marge Allard of Rogers Ark., Carolyn Todd of Des Moines and Marilyn Reed of New Virginia; a sister, Doris Cully of Des Moines; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Kale Funeral Home handled arrangements.
