Murl Leo Weeks, 80, of Indianola died of a heart attack Wednesday, May 1, 1996, at Indianola Good Samaritan Center. Services were held May 4 at New Virginia United Methodist Church, with burial at New Virginia Cemetery.

Mr. Weeks was born in Warren County and lived in the New Virginia area most of his life. He was a retired farmer and electric plant operator and a member of Medford United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Lucille, in 1996.

Survivors include four daughters, Phyllis Redman of Osceola, Carolyn Todd of Des Moines, Marilyn Reed of New Virginia and Marge Allard of Rogers, Ark.; a brother, Lloyd of Indianola; a sister, Ruth Russell of Indianola; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Kale Funeral Home in Osceola handled arrangements.
