Lester Joseph Konrad, 90, of Carlisle died of pneumonia Thursday, June 5, 1997, at Des Moines General Hospital. Services were held June 9 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Knoxville, of which he was a member, with burial at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.

Mr. Konrad was born in Rosemount and had lived in Melcher-Dallas and Knoxville prior to moving to Carlisle a year ago. He was a retired farmer and school custodian.

Survivors include his wife, Marvel; a daughter, Karen Conant of Carlisle; and a brother, Edwin of Knoxville.

Richardson Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to his church or Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Melcher-Dallas.
