Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 12-11-1993:

Charles M. Amos, 86, of Indianola died of cancer Thursday at home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Overton's Funeral Home, and burial will be in Indianola IOOF Cemetery.

Mr. Amos was a lifetime resident of Warren County, where he farmed and raised purebred Hereford cattle.

He is survived by two sons, Charles Jr. and Larry, and a brother, Howard, all of Indianola; a sister, Nora Martin of St. Charles; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Warren County Fair Association.
