Mary A. Bubon Konrad, 90, left this life peacefully on Friday, May 5, 2006 at Hospice Kavanagh House in Des Moines, IA.

Mary was born in the spring of 1916 to John and Mary Maras Bubon in Rathbun, IA. The family moved to Dallas, IA in 1926. Mary wed James Konrad in April 1937 and to this union were six children: Emily (Dan) Davis, William (Paula) Konrad, Richard (Dixie) Konrad and Kathy (Craig) Clark of Melcher-Dallas, IA, James (Judy) Konrad of Indianola, IA. and Kevin Konrad of Des Moines, IA.

Mary is survived by her six children, 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and two sisters, Anne Pezzetti of Colorado Springs, CO and Elizabeth (Charles) Wasker of West Des Moines, IA. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, seven brothers, two sisters and one granddaughter.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 7 at Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas, IA. Rosary will be recited at the funeral home on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 8 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Melcher, IA. with burial following at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the Hospice Kavanagh House or the Melcher-Dallas Rescue Unit.
