Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 4-2-2002:

Patsy Ann Byers, 72, of Pleasantville died of a heart ailment Saturday at Pleasant Care Living Center in Pleasantville. The body was cremated. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mosher Funeral Home in Milo, with burial at Hammondburg Cemetery near there.

Mrs. Byers was born in Indianola and had lived in Ackworth most of her life. She had lived in Milo and Indianola before moving to Pleasantville 1 1/2 years ago. She was a retired factory worker with Massey Ferguson in Des Moines and was a member of United Methodist Church in Indianola. She enjoyed music, singing and collecting antiques.

She is survived by two daughters, Tena Byers of Milo and Teresa Spilman of Madrid; three sons, Glenn of Victor, Idaho, Marion Jr. of Milo and James; two brothers, Glenn Gracey of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Larry Gracey of Leon; a sister, Janet Ireland of Eureka, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion "John" Byers Sr.
