Silas Wilbur Garrison, 88, of Indianola died of a heart ailment Friday at home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Overton Funeral Home, with burial at New Virginia Cemetery.

Mr. Garrison was born in Warren County, and had lived in Indianola the past 12 years. He was a retired farmer and a member of the New Virginia United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Vera; four sons, Wendell, Dale and Don, all of Indianola, and Willard of Milo; two daughters, Wilma Wheeler and Maurine Streeter, both of Indianola; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
