Obituary from The Record-Herald and Indianola Tribune newspaper, Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA on 11-13-2002:

Stanley Gail Wickett, 67, of Indianola died of a heart attack Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, at home. Services were held Nov. 12 at First Baptist Church in Indianola, with burial at Scotch Ridge Cemetery near Indianola.

Mr. Wickett was born in New Virginia and had moved to a farm in the Indianola area 28 years ago. He worked for the Warren County Secondary Roads Department and currently was serving as county weed commissioner. He was a member of the Indianola Men's Garden Club, R.F.D. Couples Club and a Hardee's morning coffee group. He was a regular blood donor and enjoyed attending bluegrass music festivals and mowing his yard.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel; two sons, Tracy and Tony, both of Indianola; a daughter, Tammy Wadle of Indianola; two brothers, Veryl and Keith, both of Indianola; and six grandchildren.

Overton Funeral Home handled arrangements.
