Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 5-16-1976:

Services for James A. Crawford, 80, of Martensdale, who died Saturday at the Westview Care Center at Indianola, will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Overton Funeral Home at Indianola. Burial will be at the Indianola cemetery.

Mr. Crawford, a retired farmer, is survived by his wife, Lucille; three daughters, Josephine Sauer and Marjorie Huffman, both of Des Moines, and Charlotte Wilder of Indianola; three sons, Clarence of Rochester, Minn., Keith of Indianola and Gerald of Des Moines; two sisters, Alice Burkhead of Des Moines and Nelle Huglin of Blue Earth, Minn.; 19 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
