Hattie P. Putz, 76, died Saturday, March 13, 2004 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be Wednesday, March 17 at Rosemount Catholic Church with burial at Rosemount Cemetery.

Hattie P. (Strovers) Putz was born January 3, 1928 in Indianola. She was a homemaker and a member of Rosemount Catholic Church and Ladies Aid Society at Rosemount. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, her garden and chickens, and her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Virginia Dittmer; and husband Firman "Mike" Putz. She is survived by her son, Mark Putz and Janna of Indianola; son-in-law, Wendell Dittmer of Ackworth; daughters, Janet Hartz and Steve of Newton and Kathy McMulin and Larry of Bussey; brother, Mack and Helen Strovers of Indianola; sister, Velma Strovers of Indianola; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be after 12 p.m. Tuesday with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Lacona.
