Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 8-30-2001:

Marilyn Louise Berg, 57, of the 6800 block of Southeast Vandalia Drive, Pleasant Hill, died of breast cancer Tuesday at home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Powers Warren Cemetery near Runnells.

Mrs. Berg was born in Warren County and had lived there as a youth. She had lived in Des Moines before moving to Pleasant Hill 34 years ago. She was a financial counselor with Highland Park Family Physicians.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; two sons, Greg of Ankeny and Mark of Des Moines; a daughter, Michelle Berg of Altoona; six sisters, Lucille Agan of Bellevue, Neb., Helen Metz of Onslow and Darlene Bauer, Doris Ferguson, Vera Seuferer and Janice Seuferer, all of Des Moines; four brothers, Delbert Schaffer of Cedar Falls, Mervin Schaffer of Lacona, Robert Schaffer of Newton and Wayne Schaffer of Osceola; and a grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Iles Grandview Park Funeral Home, where a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to her church or Hospice of Central Iowa.
