Floreine Chumbley, 85, of Indianola died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Indianola Good Samaritan Center. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Mosher Funeral Home in Milo, with burial at Liberty Center Cemetery in Liberty Center.

Mrs. Chumbley was born in Liberty Center and had lived there and in Milo before moving to Indianola in 1988. She was a retired insurance clerk with Banker's Life and a member of Milo United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women in Liberty Center. She enjoyed her friends, dogs and writing poetry.

She is survived by a son, Craig of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Melody Iverson of Indianola; and a brother, Donald Sandy of Indianola. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Animal Rescue League of Iowa Inc. or the American Lung Association.
