Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 12-27-1999:

Earl Wilson King, 81, of Indianola died of pneumonia Sunday at Westview Care Center, where he had lived for two years. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, with burial at I.O.O.F. Cemetery there.

Mr. King was a lifelong Warren County resident and had lived in Indianola since 1990. He was a retired welder for Ford Implement and had also farmed for many years. He was a member of Fairview Christian Union Church, I.O.O.F. Lodge and the Greater Des Moines Bowlers Hall of Fame. He was an avid bowler and had helped with youth bowling in Indianola.

Surviving are his wife, Jeanne; two sons, Ben and Steve, both of Indianola; four daughters, Linda Parker of Shakopee, Minn., Carole Dawson Bayear of Adel, Joy Leggett of Indianola and Julie Bantz of Des Moines; two brothers, Dale of Milo and Harlan of Mount Ayr; four sisters, Lois Fetters and Vera Cope, both of Carlisle, Florence Thomas of Des Moines and Nadine Johnson of Lawrence, Kan.; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 :30 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
