Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 2-8-2002:

Delma J. Endres, 62, of rural Martensdale died of cancer Tuesday at home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m Saturday at Martensdale Community Church, with burial at Calvary Cemetery in Churchville.

Mrs. Endres was born in Milo and had lived in the Martensdale and St. Marys areas since 1965. She was a retired schoolteacher and a member of Iowa State Education Association, National Education Association and Bevington Garden Club. She enjoyed family activities, hiking, birds and traveling.

She is survived by her husband, Ed; two daughters, Brenda Halverson of Norwalk and Alesia Endres of St. Charles; a son, Chris of St. Charles; a sister, Joann Patch of San Juan Bautista, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, where the family will be present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Martensdale-St. Marys Activity Center, Great Western Bike Trail or Martensdale Awanas Club.
