Elizabeth "Liz" Barbara Putz, 77, died March 3, 2003 of cancer at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Rosemount Catholic Church in rural Lacona. Burial to be at the Rosemount Cemetery.
Elizabeth was born November 22, 1925. She was a homemaker and had worked for 12 years at the Warren County assessor office. She was a member of the Rosemount Church, a 4-H leader for 30 years and a member of VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries.
She is survived by her husband, Fred; four sons, Richard of Omaha, Dale of Chicago, Joe of Macksburg and Albert of Lacona; three daughters, Evelyn Buenting of Altoona, Gladys McIntire of Marshalltown and Theresa Rattray of Navarre, Fla.; two brothers, Otto Ehm of San Jose, and George Ehm of Greenfield; sisters, Theresa Furlong of Boston and Mary Strattan of Cedar Falls; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Pierschbacher Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Elizabeth "Liz" Putz, 77, of Lacona, died April 3, 2003 of cancer at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Funeral services were held April 5 at St. Mary's of Perpetual Help of Rosemount Catholic Church in Lacona with burial in the Rosemount Cemetery.
Mrs Putz was a homemaker and had worked in the Warren County assessor office. She was a member of the Rosemount Church, helped with CCD, played the organ, a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and Parish council. She was a 4-H leader and a member of VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries.
