Mary Helen Hommer, 66, of Milo died of a heart ailment Wednesday at home. Services will be at United Methodist Church in Milo, with burial at Belmont Cemetery in Warren County.

Mrs. Hommer was born in Mitchellville and lived there until moving to Milo 45 years ago. She had worked for Casey's General Store in Milo and was a member of American Legion Auxiliary and Lions Club Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening and playing slot machines.

She is survived by a daughter, Debbie Miller of Lacona; four sons, Larry, Phil, Doug and Walter, all of Milo; her mother, Helen Drottz of Mitchellville; two brothers, Dale Drottz of Mitchellville and Verl Drottz of Trenton, Mo.; a sister, Ruth Wilson of Pawnee, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Mosher Funeral Home in Milo. Memorial contributions may be made to the A.L. McCormick Community Center or the Milo Fire Department.
