Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 8-31-1999:

Lois Darlene Dixon, 77, of Indianola died Saturday at Madison County Hospital in Winterset from complications following surgery. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, with burial at IOOF Memorial Gardens Cemetery there.

Mrs. Dixon was born in Clarke County and had lived in Indianola since 1947. She was a homemaker and had been a member of the Dixon County Band.

She is survived by her husband, James; a brother, Garold Chumbley of Milo; and two sisters, Doris Powell of Woodburn and Mabel Wilkenson of Norfolk, Va.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
