Obituary from The Record-Herald and Indianola Tribune newspaper, Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA on 6-8-1988:

Vance F. Butler, 87, of Indianola died of a respiratory ailment Tuesday, May 31, 1988, at Westview Care Center. Graveside services were held Thursday, June 2, at Indianola IOOF Cemetery.

Mr. Butler, a retired farmer, was a lifelong resident of Warren County.

He is survived by four nephews, Ray (Junior) Butler of Indianola, Homer Butler of Newton, Robert Butler of West Des Moines and Donald Butler of Ankeny.

Overton Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
